Audience: All personnel (Sworn and Non-sworn) who facilitate training, meetings, roll calls,
and After-Actions desiring to accomplish engagement and group cohesion.

Tired of death by PowerPoint training sessions, or meetings that leave you wondering why they were even scheduled? Perhaps they occur because many initial instructor development and supervisory classes don’t require these skills be furthered or State objectives are focused elsewhere.
If you facilitate groups trainings, meetings or other group settings and you desire to promote higher levels of engagement and active learning, this course will be of value to you. Simply stated, this workshop is intended to change the way training sessions and meeting occur by building the facilitation skills of those who lead them.

Objectives:
• Establish clear objectives
• Demonstrate how to promote participant engagement and involvement
• Review and practice methods to effectively “manage” group interactions
• Use learned techniques to enhance their overall communication and facilitation skills
• Develop techniques to inspire and engage participants in active learning
• Demonstrate excitement and energy in their facilitation
• Define techniques for capturing and holding audience attention
• Develop a plan for facilitating difficult discussions and collaborating with challenging audiences
• Create question and answer periods that promote involvement
